Health and Safety Updates

TKD is dedicated to keeping it's performers, volunteers, and guests as safe as we can during the ebb and flow of this outbreak. We are routinely revisiting our policies reguarding social distancing and mask use.

We would like to extend our thanks to all of our guests who have been so understanding. We have experienced almost no issues with masks remaining on and, like you, are eager to see a conclusion to it.

Currently, all performers and production volunteers are required to be vaccinated but not required to wear masks.

Conversly, masks are required for all patrons and box office volunteers, reguardless of vaccination status.

Our Guests Agree...

  • My wife and I attended last night’s performance of Death of a Saleseman and it was spectacular! The cast did such a marvelous job of making the characters real and believable in such a gripping story. [It’s] the most powerful performance we have seen at TKD since moving back to Knoxville in 2013.

  • Saw the play God of Carnage last night. It was a fantastic side-splitting performance. It is a true reflection of life raising children and dealing with neighbors.

  • This is a great theatre. The last show I saw, Every Christmas Story Ever Told …, was amazing and extremely well acted. It is a small venue that makes the show seem more personal and like you are the focus of the actors’ attention.

  • My husband and I love this place for our date nights. We both have enjoyed so many of the plays, most recently On Golden Pond. Can’t wait for the new location!

  • Just saw Sordid Lives as my first TKD production – small, quaint theater with amazing talent!

  • My boyfriend and I have been attending plays at TKD for over the last year and a half. We always look forward to being completely captivated by the experience whether we’re seeing a dramatic tear-evoking show or a comical gut-busting parody. It’s never just a date. It’s always a full experience that is inevitably followed by colorful conversation and analysis. While performances at larger theaters are enjoyable, there is a certain intimacy at TKD that is impossible to find elsewhere.
